Transportation to Airport from Los Angeles City Center

The most practical transportation alternative to get to Los Angeles International airport from the city center is by using the FlyAway buses. These buses depart from Union Station and get to the airport in about 40 minutes. When there is traffic or during rush hour that travel time can vary significantly. FlyAway buses depart every 30 minutes and you don’t need to reserve a spot beforehand. We recommend checking the traffic conditions and figuring out what time you need to be at the airport beforehand.

The FlyAway buses operate between the following locations and the airport, Van Nuys (San Fernando Valley) Union Station (Downtown Los Angeles), Westwood (West Los Angeles/UCLA), Santa Monica, Hollywood, Orange Line, and Long Beach. Separate buses depart from these locations to the airport. You can buy your bus ticket on board using a credit card.

Passengers can also take the Green Line to the airport, which stops at the metro Green Line Aviation Station. From that station there are free shuttle bus services to the airport. The Green Line operates between Redondo Beach and Norwalk. After you get to the Green Line Aviation Station you can get on the LAX Shuttle “G” line, which will take you to the terminals.  

There are various buses that you can take from different locations in the city to get to Los Angeles International Airport. From Santa Monica you can take the Big Blue Bus R3 line, from Sylmar Metrolink Station you can take LADOT Commuter Express line 574, from Redondo Beach you can take LADOT line 438, and from Torrance you can take Torrance Transit Bus T8.

Transportation to Portland City Center from Airport

Portland Intl. Airport

Portland Airport, 8 km far from the city center of Portland, is also known as Portland International Jetport. Many airplanes transfer passengers from Portland International Airport, one of the busiest airports of the state, to cities such as Charlotte, Atlanta, New York and Chicago reciprocatively every year. Taxis are among the most convenient and fastest vehicles to prefer for going to the city center from the airport. Other vehicles you can use to travel the short distance between the airport and the city center are limousines and private shuttles. Limousines are a quite convenient alternative for passengers who give importance to ease and comfort. And private shuttles are economical options for especially crowded groups to reach the city center of Portland compared to taxis and limousines. If you prefer to come to the center with your private car, you can still complete your travel in only a few minutes.

Taxi

You can see taxis in front of the gate when you leave the terminal of Portland International Airport. You can use the highways I-95 (Maine Turnpike) or I-295 while coming to the city center from Portland International Airport. Travel on both roads takes almost the same time.
