Airport Information

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, built in 1937 and serving international flights since 1992, is located about 9 kilometers north of the city center. The airport serves both Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar regions.

The airport features various stores and duty-free shops, along with areas selling handmade local products. Several cafes and restaurants are available for passengers who wish to eat while waiting for their flight. Additionally, the airport has two separate lounges for a more comfortable waiting experience.

Bathinda Airport is located 20 kilometers outside the city center. As it is a rather new and small airport, there are no transportation options such as shuttle and busses.
 If you know somebody that lives in Bathinda, the best method of transportation is asking them to come and take you from the airport. If you cannot do that you can take taxis but before your drive, you should negotiate and come to an agreement with the driver about the taxi fare. 
Railway transportation is very common in Bathinda, so to reduce your expenses; you can walk to the nearest station and make transfers from there. Besides, you can stay in selected hotels that provide airport transportation, and simply by making reservations before your flight, you can arrange your transportation as well.
