Turkmenbashi International Airport was opened in 1959 and expanded in 2010 with a new terminal building. The airport has a post office, safe deposit box, cafeteria, restaurant, meeting room, seminar room, VIP room and CIP room. There are also souvenir shops, clothing stores and duty-free shops.
