The main characteristic of Zell am See, one of the most favourite tourist destinations in the Salzburg – Kaprun region of Austuria, is its fantastic nature with the combination of glacier, lake and mountain. Each day, the city is getting more and more crowded due to the development of the tourism. It is located between the Hohe Tauern Mountains and Lake Zell. The city, described as a small heaven, is also famous for its brightly-painted chalets and its postcard-like view from the peaks. Besides, Lake Zell is well-known for the potability of its clean water. The lake has three beaches; namely, Thumersbach, Seespitz ve Zell Lido and you can have the chance to take a tour by the ferry.

The laser show in the lake called  ‘Magic Lake Show’, which is identified with the city, can be watched from May to October. The tourists can also enjoy many entertaining festivals in the beutiful mountain villages of Kaprun, which have ski slopes with a total length up to 138 kilometres.

Zell am See is also popular for its centre reflecting the Medieval atmosphere with its buildings such as St. Hippolyte Church, small shops, and its pretty terrace cafes. You can see people taking a ride in the most expensive cars of Austuria on the streets with cobblestones where there is no traffic jam.
