About Vejle
The Danish city of Vejle is a small city located at the end of the Vejle Fjord. The service sector is highly developed in this industrialized city.
The city dates back to the time of the Vikings. You can see the wooden bridge from this period 25 km west of Vejle city center. Like most cities in Denmark, all of Vejle can be reached easily by foot or on bicycle. The public transport system of the city is also excellent and extensive. The surrounding villages, towns and cities can easily be reached by train.
There is a long pedestrian-only, outdoor shopping mall in Vejle that attracts both locals and tourists.For those who prefer to shop indoors, there are two shopping malls in the city called Bryggen and Mary's. Denmark's windmills are famous, but Velje's windmills are especially well-known and iconic. Vejle is also well-known for its variety of tours available. You can take a trip back in time to visit an Iron Age Village, which is in the western part of the city. The village is housed in an area of incredible natural beauty, and features authentic recreations of Iron Age era houses, posts, workmanship tools and much more. In the village, activities related to the experience of the period are organized from time to time. You should also visit Vejle Museum when in the city. There is a large number of interesting objects as well as an Iron Age mummy which was exhibited earlier at St. Nicholas Church. The museum can be visited from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm every day except Mondays.
