About Strausberg
The town of Strausberg in the region of Brandenburg of Germany is located 30 kilometers east of Berlin. Strausberg, which is the largest town in the district of Markisch-Oderlang, has a population of about 25,000 people. The municipalities surrounding the town located 30 kilometers west of Kostrzyn on the Polish border are Altlansberg, Oberbarnim, Buckow, Garzau-Garzin, Rehelde, Rüdersdorf and Petershagen-Eggersdorf. Straussee, which is the largest lake of the town, is located between the town and Strausberg Forest. The town is also rich in forestlands and wetlands. The small airport, which was opened in 1927 and is located 2 km east of the city center, provides air transportation.
