About Sliven

Sliven, which is considered to be the administrative and industrial center of Sliven Province, is the 8th largest city in Bulgaria in terms of its area. Sliven was called in the 19th century as the City of the 100 Voivodi. It is now a unique city that has witnessed important moments throughout history. Silven, which is located about 300 kilometers east from the Bulgaria's capital city, Sofia, shares its borders with Greece (100 km) and Turkey (130 km). The city of Sliven, which is 100 km away from Bourgas city and has a population of approximately hundred thousand, dates back to the Neolithic Period.

Sliven is one of the most touristic cities in southeastern Bulgaria, and it attracts attention with its rich mineral and mineral resources.
