Santa Elena de Uairen is a small town in Venezuela. Located in the state of Bolívar near the border with Brazil and Guyana, Santa Elena de Uairen has a population consisting of approximately 29 thousand 795 people according to the estimates of 2006. The local community of the town is comprised of a group of people called Manakrü, and both Spanish and the Pemon Language are spoken as the native languages in the town.
Angel Falls is a waterfall with a height of 807 meters and it attracts a lot of attention. Canaima National Park is the second biggest park of Venezuela and it is in Santa Elena. In the city, tours such as Trek Expedition, Backpacker Tours, Mystic Tours are organized, and taxis render services from every corner of the town. In the foothills of Santa Elena, there is a highly extensive bus terminal. Besides, this town has an airport called Santa Elena Airport, and here, desert climate is dominant, which means that Santa Elena receives little rainfall throughout the year.
