About Port dickson

Port Dickson, which is a holiday destination frequently preferred by the Malaysians for weekends, is actually the name of a city in the state of Negeri Sembilan. In this city, which attracts a great number of tourists, there are many beaches and bays on the area extending from Tanjung Gemuk to Blue Lagoon. These Port Dickson beaches are very popular in terms of activities like swimming, boat trip, water skiing, canoeing and windsurfing. Since the region is visited by a great number of tourists, you need to book in advance for hotels and hostels.

Port Dickson was once famous for its coal industry before its beaches, which attract many tourists today, were popular. However, it began to develop as a small port city during the British Strait Settlement period. Therefore, there are many old shops remaining from this period. In addition, there are big shopping centers like Regina Mall offering many alternatives for the visitors of the city.

Port Dickson, also known as PD among the local people, has many places to visit. Wan Loong Temple, which is actually a Chinese place of worship, can be visited at any hour of the day for free. In this temple, where gods like Kuan Yi are glorified, there is a restaurant where you can eat delicious foods and spend some time with the turtles around.

In the Army Museum, which is known as Muzium Tentera Darat among the local people and is a structure belonging to the Malaysian Royal Armed Forces in the region of Sirusa, victories and adventures of the forces are told. Ostrich Farm located around Pantai Purnama can catch your attention as a place where you can see and feed many ostriches. In addition, it is possible to see thoroughbred horses and dogs here. There are also activities like safari with ATV, paintball and nature walk in addition to horse riding.
