About Paranaque

Paranaque located in the Philippines is one of the cities that form the Metro Manila region. The city is bordered to the north by Pasay to the northeast by Taguig, to the southeast by Muntinlupa, and to the west by Manila Bay. The city covers an area of approximately 48 kilometers. A large part of Paranaque consists of large housing and trading areas.

Paranaque has a tropical climate just like the whole Metro Manila region. The city is one of the beautiful places to live in. The Cathedral, which took its name from St. Andrews, the protector of fishermen, is one of the oldest city structures built in the 1580s. The structure is also known as Paranaque Cathedral and today serves as an episcopacy. Next to this magnificent cathedral, which is the symbolic place of the city, Baclaran Church attracts attention as a very large church where 3000 and 9000 people worship by sitting and standing respectively. Other tourist attractions of the city include the Bird Sanctuary, where you can observe the birds flying from all over the world, Solaire Resort and City of Dreams Manila which are both casinos and entertainment places. You can also visit Dampa which is a seaside market with numerous restaurants serving fresh seafood that you will find delicious.

You will have a chance to get to know a different culture with the festival events where you will feel the warm atmosphere of the city. Caracol, which is a festival celebrated by boats, Easter feasts, Flores de Mayo Festival and Sambalilo Hat Festival held on February 13, which is the establishment anniversary of the city, are the most traditional activities of the city.
