Marsalforn, which is located in the northeast of Gozo and is the second largest island of Malta, is one of the most popular and most developed towns in the region. This town, located between the towns of Xaghra and Zebbug, is one of the perfect places for swimming and walking with a beautiful landscape thanks to its beaches with sand and the pebble, and the walkway in the middle of the beach. This Mediterranean town was a small fishing village, but it has developed over time and now favorite of Maltese people and Maltese visitors. While the beach in the center is crowded with people, in the bays that are located on the northwest of the town, you encounter a quiet environment and salt mines used since 1740. The Santa Marija rocky area on the left side of the gulf in Marsalforn is one of the most preferred beaches in the region.

You can go around the gulf with motorized and sailing boats departed from the town, go snorkeling around the Gozo and visit the legendary Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is one of the most beautiful beaches in Malta and it is one of the places thanks to the color of the sea and the long narrow bay which we recommend you to visit while you come to Marsalforn. The traditional Maltese fishing boats, called Luzzu, are located in the port in the east of the town and create the most photogenic Marsalforn views. You will find mostly seafood menu in the restaurants of this traditional fisherman's town.

If you want to fly to Marsalforn, the nearest area for landing is the Malta International Airport, which is 46 kilometers away. You can reach the center of the town by renting a car or by floatplane from the airport.
