Kuwait City is the capital of the country of Kuwait, located in the Arabian Peninsula on the Persian Gulf. Kuwait, a rich city due to petroleum, is filled with skyscrapers, broad avenues, planned housing and luxury shopping. It is very popular to travel and walk along the coast line in Kuwait. Cafes and especially hookah (water pipe) cafés are numerous all along the coast.

Kuwait Towers, Grand Mosque, Seif Palace, Corniche, Old Bazaar, Traditional Kuwait House, the old village of Kuwait, and Failka Island are places that can be visited. Kuwait has a desert climate with very hot summers. The winters are also warm, the average temperatures in those times hovering around 20 C.

Alcohol is prohibited in Kuwait. There are no night life entertainment places such as bar or disco. You can go to restaurants and water pipe cafes. There are big and magnificient shopping centers with branches of some of the world's most expensive luxury brands. The biggest one is Marina Mall.

The women are generally veiled but there is no pressure for foreign women to be veiled. Avenues that are full with pretty magnificient luxurious houses and cars will be remarkable for you. Most of the people who have Kuwait citizenship are rich, while people from other nationalities normally work in the service sector. You can find American fast food and flavors from Middle East cuisine for food and beverage. The city is more splendid at nights because of the lighting of the grand buildings.

Kuwait Intl. Airport

Kuwait, a half-century old Kuwait's namesake capital city, stands out as a commercial city. Kuwait city, which was ruined during the war, has been literally rebuilt with the help of foreign workers hosted by the city. More than half of the city's population consists of the foreign workers.

The city manages to be the center of attraction of the Middle East with its modern structures, two ports that have recently been put into service and an international airport. Kuwait International Airport is the most remarkable airport in the Middle East with its elegant architecture. The airport, located in the Farwaniyah area of the city, is 15 kilometers away from the city center.
