Krynica-Zdroj is a town in the south of Poland, just a few kilometers from the Slovakian border. The town is a popular holiday destination, and well-known for its winter sports and hot springs. Krynica-Zdroj has been home to numerous winter sport contests and championships, and there are premises to facilitate almost any kind of winter sport here. 

The Nikifor's Museum and the Bajka Toy Museum are both located in a beautiful historic hot springs building, and are definitely worth a visit, especially if you're into museums. If you like nature, then there are some amazing trekking, hiking, and climbing opportunities in the mountain areas surrounding the town. It’s also possible to rent a mountain bike and have an exciting ride through the mountain forests. Make sure you have enough time for Gora Parkowa Nature Reserve, which is is so beautiful that it will make you forget the modern world, as it is spread out over quite a large area. And don’t forget to go on the famous cable car while you’re there. The St. George Orthodox Church is also worth mentioning, and deserves a visit as one of the most important architectural structures in Krynica-Zdroj.

The climate in Krynica-Zdroj can be quite cold and humid. During the winter the temperature is almost always below freezing and it rises to around 18 degrees in the summer. There’s considerable rainfall throughout the year, especially during the summer months.
