Khao Lak is a city which is located in Phang Nga Province in the south of Thailand. Although the city lost its charm following the tsunami disaster which occurred in 2004, it has managed to recover and is still a popular holiday destination. In April, heavy monsoon rains start and continue until November. For this reason, the best period to visit the city is between November and March.
