Kenmare is located in the south of the Kerry region of Ireland. The name of the town, whose population is 2175 according to the data of 2011, means “head of the sea”. Failte, the tourism committee of Ireland, accepted historical, cultural and environmental importance of the town by giving it the title of “Kerry’s First Heritage Town”.
