About Kedougou
Located in the southeast of Senagal, Kedogou is situated approximately 550 meters above sea level. Located on the highway N7 and between the Gambia River and Pays Bassari hills, the city has borders with Mali and Guinea. Dindefelo Waterfall and Niokolo-Koba National Park are among the places that can be visited in the city. In the city, which is especially engaged in agriculture, the focus is mostly on construction and gold mining along with small-scale trade.
There are three military camps, a hospital, radio station, library and many small enterprises in the city. Languages commonly used in the city include Pulaar, Bassari, Bedik, Diaxanke, Malinke and French. The gold mining industry in the city directs many mining companies to this region.
