About Kawasaki

Kawasaki is a city of Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan. It is located between two important cities of the country; namely, Yokohama and Tokio. It is a big metropolis with around 1.5 million population.  The head offices and factories of many important word’s leading brands such as Mitsubishi, Dell, Fujitsu are also located in Kawasaki, which makes this city one of the most important industrial and commercial centre.

July and August are the hottest months of Kawasaki, with a temperature around 25°C- 26°C. January is the coldest period in the city with an average temperature around 3°C. It is generally rainy during spring and autumn seasons.

There are plenty of temples in Kawasaki. Especially the Temple of Daishi Heiken-ji are visited by many tourists particularly during new year period. There are a wide range of museums from art to science in the city for the museum lovers. Fujiko F Fujio Museum is highly recommended to the visitors. Nihon Minkaen (The Japan Open-Air Folk House Museum) is a perfect alternative to get to know the Japanese culture well. Kawasaki Matsuri Festival, world-wide known as Iron Penis Festival  is held in the first Sunday of April in each year, which is accepted as the best entertaining time of the city. Lots of amulets, lucky charms and talismans are sold and preferred as souvenirs by the visitors in Kawasaki. There are also many parks and forestlands in touch with the nature. Lazona Kawasaki Plaza is a good alternative for shopping whereas the fun and adrenaline seekers must visit Yomiuriland. Kawasaki is rich in capsule hotels, therefore, this interesting accomodation option is highly recommended.
