About Kaadedhdhoo Island
Kaadedhdhoo Island is located on one of the 1,192 coral islands that make up the Maldives, a popular holiday paradise destination in the Indian Ocean. It is located in the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll administrative district, one of the seven administrative regions of the Maldives. The Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll is a section of the Huvadhu Atoll, which is considered the largest atoll of the Maldives. It was divided into two divisions, Gaafu Alifu and Gaafu Dhaalu. Kaadedhdhoo Island, part of the Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll administrative region, is an ideal destination to explore the sea and natural beauty in the region.
The island and its surroundings are breathtaking with a charming coast, pristine beach and intriguing underwater coral formations and biodiversity. Diving enthusiasts from all around the world come to Kaadedhdhoo Island to explore the rich underwater wonders in the region. The uninhabited island only features an airport and an old pier. However, there are many luxurious holiday resorts located on the neighboring islands 15-20 km away. Kaadedhdhoo Airport first opened in 1993 and acts as a transfer point, carrying passengers on domestic routes. There are also ferry boats that go to the surrounding islands. Kaadedhdhoo has a tropical climate.
