Island of Hawaii, which is the biggest island of the Hawaii province and situated within the borders of the United States of America, is located in the southeast of the province. Since Mauna Loa and Kilauea are active volcanoes, the surface area of Island of Hawaii expands every year. It is still possible to see the geological remains in south and west slopes of Mauna Loa. Approximately 35 kilometers south of Hawaii, there is a volcano known as Lō'ihi located under the sea. You can see this volcano, which is about 980 meters below the ocean surface, by diving in company with professional teams. The Ka Lae point, which is accepted as the southernmost of the United States, is located on the Island of Hawaii.
