About Hefei
Located in the Anhui province of the People's Republic of China, Hefei is the capital and the province's largest city. Geographically located in the provincial center, the city is adjacent to Huanian in the north, Chuzhou in the north, Chaohu in the south, and Lu'an in the west. Chao Lake, located 15 km south-east of the city, is located in the city where a population of about 7 and a half million people live according to the 2010 data, and it is the largest freshwater lake in the region. All four seasons are experienced in the city, where the average temperature is about 15C per year. The majority of the city's population is Han Chinese, but a few Hui Chinese also live there. The city is located on China National 312 Road, and has an economy based on machinery, electronics, chemical, steel, textile and cigarette industries. In the city there is Hefei Xinqiao International Airport.
