About Buriram
Located in the Buri Ram region of Thailand, Buri Ram city is located 410 kilometers north-east of Bangkok. According to 2010 data, there are 18 villages in the city where a population of about 28 thousand people lives. Located in the center of the region, the city of Buri Ram has a small stream named Huai Jorakhamak, with no rivers. The major water sources of the city are Buri Ram Moat, Nong Prue Depot, Huai Jorakheak Depot and Huai Talat Depot. In summer heavy rains can be observed in the city, which has almost the same temperature throughout the year. The temperature value varies from 17 to 25 degrees Celsius throughout the year. In the city on the northeast railway line, flights are provided from Buri Ram Airport. Urban economy is provided by agriculture and tourism.
With regards to the agricultural industry, rice and cassava production is heavily carried out. There are many shopping malls in the city. Some of those are Big C, Macro, Home Pro, Tesco Lotus Express and Taweekit.
