Bugibba, located in north-eastern Malta, is located on a coastal line stretching from Salina Bay to Paul's Bay.
This coastal town, with many hotels, clubs, pubs and restaurants, is displaying a very photogenic image with the clear blue sea views towards Gozo, the neighboring island, and the St. Paul Island. In the city, which has been equipped with many tourism facilities in its service sector which has been developing for the last 30 years, there are artificial beach entrances beside the natural beaches that allow comfortable swimming in the rocky shoreline. The most popular artificial city beach which has a 150-meter coastal line has the Blue Flag award. In Bugibba, which has a port that completes the fascinating scenery with colorful boats, you can easily swim between April and October.
Besides the spectacular sea, sand and sun relaxation, Bugibba is also ideal for scuba diving. There are many diving schools in the city and you can get a certificate after training. You can also try various water sports such as snorkelling and jet-skiing.
The city center (Bay Square) is the heart of shopping and fun in Bugibba. There are many concerts organized in the square, which is especially crowded in the nights, and the benches here provide the most beautiful sceneries. The island of Gozo, very close to the city, is attractive with its artistic churches. You will find a village church from the 14th century, magnificent medieval scenery that will surely lead you to take photographs, and a sea perfect for diving in St. Paul, a village quieter than Bugibba reachable by foot. The city also hosts a big casino that started to serve in 1998. There is a temple worth visiting in the center of the city.
The coldest month in the city is January; however, even in January the temperature does not fall below 12 degrees in the city, where the summers are quite hot. A colorful and crowded festival is organized in February in the city which also hosts the festive-like Saints Day in April.
