About Bacau
Bacau, one of the largest cities of Romania in Eastern Europe, is also one of the most crowded cities of the country with a population of approximately 200 thousand people. Located in the region called Moldiva, the city is surrounded by the famous Carpathian Mountains. Approximately 300 kilometers from Bucharest, the capital, Bacau International Airport serves the city. The airport, which has flights to many large cities in the country and in Europe, has an important place in the transportation network of the city.
Another alternative way of reaching the city and surrounding cities is the trains. From the train station in Bacau you can travel by trains to neighboring countries such as Bulgaria and Russia. The city is established at the junction point of Bistrita and Siret Rivers. The places to see and visit in the city are Cancicov Park, Chest of the Ascension Cathedral, Antonescu Museum and Bacau Museum. Accommodation and food costs are also quite low in the city. For this reason, the city is also suitable for those who want a budget-friendly holiday.
