About Aracatuba
The city of Aracatuba, located in the state of São Paulo on the north-west of Brazil, has a population of about 191 thousand people according to the 2013 data. In addition, the name of the city comes from Tupi language and means "abundance". The city's economy is based on coffee production, sugar cane plants and farm livestock. Located in Aracatuba, Nishi Honganji is known as the first Buddhist temple built in 1951.
