About Albenga
Albenga, which is located in the Liguria region in the northwest of Italy, is a city connected to the province of Savona. The nickname of the city, whose economy is based on tourism, local commerce and the agriculture, is "city of a hundred spires" because it has three municipal towers. The city, which has a population of about 25 thousand people according to data of 2009, has borders to Alassio, Arnasco, Ceriale, Cisano sul Neva, Ortovero and Villanova d'Albenga communes.
Among the places to be visited in the city; Albenga Cathedral, Baptistery, Palazzo Peloso Cipolla, Ancient Roman Amphitheater, Ancient Cemetery and Roman Bath.
Although the city is under the effect of Mediterranean climate, there are significant climate differences between coastal areas, high altitude areas and valleys. During the winter months, a cold, rainy and snowy climate is seen on high altitude parts while a warm and rainy weather is seen during the summer months.
