Although it is more convenient and comfortable than the other means of transport, it may not be a good idea to rent a car in the heavy Rhodes traffic as it is expensive and risky. Diagoras Airport, that host many tourists every year, has a two-storied single terminal building in which there are bank offices, ATM’s and a health center. There are also conferance and meeting rooms in the airport, which has yet to have wireless internet connection.

If you want to get rid of the stress of long waitings and delays or satisfy your hunger, there is a bar, a cafe and a restaurant in the terminal building. In addition to these, there is also a Duty-Free shop where you can buy products such as perfums, souvenirs and newspapers.

The bus terminal at the airport is located on the ground level, by Terminal 4. Buses are readily available once you land, so you can be on your way to the city without waiting. Rail

Trains are another affordable transportation alternative to get to the city. There are two lines that run through the city. The train ride to the city is very enjoyable. Trains are easily accessible from the airport station, providing convenient transportation to the city. The metro is another affordable and fast means of transportation. The metro is accessible from Terminal 1 at the airport. The metro takes about 30 minutes to get to the city. Trains run every 10 minutes during the week and every 30 minutes over the weekend. Trains operate from 5 am to midnight.   

Rental Car

Renting a car is another way to get to the city. Rental car offices are located at Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Renting a car is also a great option for getting around in the city during your trip.
