Located 85 km from the city center, the Beauvais Tille Airport is easily accessible. All you have to do is get on metro line 1 in the city center and take it to the Porte Maillot station. Also referred to as the regional express train, the Beauvais trains provide transportation between Paris Gare du Nord and the Beauvais train station, located 4 km from the airport. After you get to the Beauvais train station from Paris you can take a taxi for a certain fee. This 15-minute taxi ride is 13 euros from 7 am and 7 pm. This price increases after 7 pm and on Sundays.

Bus

Operating under the Beauvais Tille Airport, these buses are the most convenient, fast, and economical means of transportation. There are various places in Paris that sell bus tickets and you can also use the online booking option and make your reservation in advance. Exit the Porte Maillot station in direction of Neuilly (Paris Convention Center), there you will see a large bus station across the street. If you haven’t already purchased your ticket online you can do so at the kiosks within the station. If the station is closed you can buy a ticket from the bus driver. We recommend arrival at least 3 hours and 15 minutes before your flight.  

Taxi and Shuttle

Taking a taxi to the Beauvais Tille Airport from the Paris metro station or nearby areas costs around 100-120 euros and takes about 1-1.5 hours. The night fare increases this price to 140-160 euros.

There are car rental agencies located in almost every part of the city. But if you rent a car at the airport this could be an advantage and save you time when dropping your car back off at the airport. There are 3 highways that connect Paris and Beauvais Tille Airport.

Using the A16 autoroute you can reach the airport in 1 hour and 32 minutes, connecting to the A3 autoroute from the A16 makes the trip a bit longer, totaling 1 hour and 43 minutes, and the A1 autoroute takes 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Airport Information

Beauvais Tille Airport is located in Tille, 3.5 km northeast of the city of Beauvais. In 2015 Beauvais Tille Airport handled about 4.5 million passengers. The airport is generally used for charter flights and by low-cost airlines.  

Located about 85 km northwest of Paris, Beauvais Tille Airport is neither too big nor too small. Thanks to the advanced and modern public transportation system, reaching Paris from this airport is relatively easy and inexpensive. The airport contains 2 terminals. The terminal buildings are closed between 11:30 pm and 6:30 am, so if you’re planning a layover in the middle of the night we suggest considering other alternatives.

The terminal building contains several restaurants, markets where you can find snacks, eating and drinking areas, souvenir shops where you can go shopping, free internet access, a smoking area, tourist information offices, and more. Major airlines that fly to this airport include Ryanair, Sterling, Blue Air, Norwegian Air Shuttle and Wizzair.

Charles de Gaulle Airport is accessible by taxi, bus, and train. In addition, you can also use a rental car or personal car. You can park in the parking lot for a certain fee. The airport is equipped with indoor and outdoor multi-story parking lots.

Train

There are two rail systems you can use to get from the city center to Charles de Gaulle Airport. The first one is the RER. You can purchase your RER ticket at the station. However, due to frequent strikes and the delays that they can cause, we recommend departing even earlier.

The next rail system is the TGV. This high-speed line connects several stations, like Lille, Strasbourg, Dijon, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Poitiers, Rennes, Toulon and even Brussels, to the TGV station located in terminal 2.  

Taxi

One of the most convenient and fastest ways to get to the airport from the city center is by taxi. Taxis provide services to every terminal at the airport. The taxi fare is calculated according to the kilometers travelled. The taxi fare between the city center and the airport is reasonable. Bus

Another means of transportation to get to the airport from the city center is by bus. Buses that provide service from the city to the airport include Roissybus, Cars Air France, 350 Bus, 19 Bus, Noctilien night bus, Val d’Europe Airports Shuttle and Fileo Roissy. Using the Roissy Bus service, which is provided by the city of Paris, you can reach the airport without having to transfer anywhere. Even though it takes about an hour it is a very reliable transportation service.

You can also get to Charles de Gaulle Airport by rental car. Rental car agencies in the city include Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Firefly, Hertz, Sixt, Interrent, Alamo, Advantage, Dollar, Thrifty and TT Car Transit. Charles de Gaulle Airport has a total of 3 terminals, including the domestic and international terminals. The airport covers a significantly large area and therefore created a shuttle service to provide transportation between terminals. This shuttle service makes navigating the airport much easier. Terminal 1 was built in the shape of an octopus and contains technical functions on the first floor, which the public cannot access. The second floor includes restaurants, shops, and the CDGVAL inter-terminal shuttle train platforms.

The third floor contains most of the check-in counters and transportation services like taxis, buses, and special vehicles. The fourth floor is dedicated departing passengers and the fifth floor contains the baggage claim area. Charles de Gaulle Airport offers a variety of amenities and services.

Terminals are equipped with health services, car rental offices, ATMs, lost luggage services, wireless internet, charging stations, clothing stores, restaurants, cafes, and markets.

You can easily access Orly Airport using your personal vehicle or rental car. The airport is also accessible by train, bus, and taxi. Bus

Another mode of transportation that you can use to reach Orly Airport from the city center is by bus, which is more affordable than taxis. Buses that provide service to and from the city center and the airport include Orlybus, Cars Air France, Bus 183, Val d’Europe Airports and Bus 91.10.  

Orlybus buses operate between Paris’s Denfert and Rochereau stops. The trip takes about 30 minutes. Bus line 183 operates between Orly Airport and the Porte de Choisy station. Bus line 91.10 operates between Orly Airport and the Massy-TGV station.

Cars Air France is more affordable compared to the others and operates 2 different buses on 2 different routes. The first route provides transportation between Gare Montparnasse, Invalides and Etoile stations and Orly Airport and the other route operates between Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airport.

The airport has one terminal for both international and domestic flights. Orly Airport covers an area of 15.3 square kilometers. The terminal contains health services, car rental offices, ATMs, lost luggage services, wireless internet, charging stations, clothing stores, restaurants, cafes, and markets.

You can get to the city center from the Sabiha Gökçen Airport using the TEM highway and following the exit and street signs. The airport is also accessible by city buses and Havataş shuttles. If you want to leave your car at the airport there is an outdoor parking lot and a multi-story parking lot. There are also some private parking facilities located around the airport.  

Taxi

The fastest and most convenient way to get to the city center from Sabiha Gökçen Airport is by taxi. However, when taking a taxi the most important factor to consider is the traffic. If you’re in a hurry and don’t want to lose time we suggest taking a taxi to a certain point and then transferring to the metro or metrobus. This way you can avoid traffic, even during rush hour.

Havabus

The Havabus shuttle buses provide transportation between Sabiha Gökçen Airport and central locations in the city like Taksim on the European side and Kadikoy and Yenisahra on the Anatolian side. The shuttle buses provide quick and comfortable transportation to and from the airport every 30 minutes.

Marmaray

The Marmaray is a faster alternative for those living on the European side in particular. You can take a taxi or bus to the Kartal metro stop, then get on the metro and continue in the Kadıköy direction. Get off at Ayrılık Çeşmesi and transfer to the Marmaray where you can cross to the European side of the city at the Yenikapı station. From Yenikapı, which is a major station for the metro, buses, and ferries, you can reach many central locations on the European side of the city. Sea buses and ferries to various places in the Marmara Region like Bandırma, Yalova, Avşa, Bursa and Çınarcık depart from the Yenikapı İDO pier. Moreover, you can travel with your vehicle on the ferries.

By getting off at the Kadiköy or Bostanci piers you can take a boat to Istanbul’s Princes’ Islands, like Buyukada, Heybeliada, Burgazada and Kinaliada.

Metro

From the airport you can take a bus or taxi to the Kartal metro station and get on the Kadikoy-Kaynarca line in the Kadikoy direction.

You can get to the city center by renting a car from various rental agencies at the airport. You can also return your rental vehicle to rental agencies located in the city. If you are traveling between multiple places make sure to specify your vehicle pick up and drop off location when making your reservation. 

You can get to the city center from Atatürk Airport, located on the European side of Istanbul, by taxi, airport shuttles, metro, bus, private transportation services or your personal car. The most important factor to consider when picking your means of transportation to reach the city center is the traffic. Using alternative means of transportation, like a combination of taxi, metro or metrobus, during rush hour will save time.

The fastest and most convenient way to get to the city center from Atatürk Airport is by taxi. However, when taking a taxi the most important factor to consider is the traffic. If you’re in a hurry and don’t want to lose time we suggest taking a taxi to a certain point and then transferring to the metro or metrobus. This way you can avoid traffic, even during rush hour. Some taxis accept credit card payments. If you want to pay using your credit card make sure to indicate this before hand to the driver and get in a vehicle that accepts credit card payments.

Havabus

The Havabus shuttle buses provide transportation between Atatürk Airport and central locations in the city. The Havatas shuttles provide service to and from Taksim and Yenikapi IDO Pier every 30 minutes.

Bus

You can use public buses to get to the city center from Atatürk Airport. Using the istanbulkart (smart card for fare payment), this is the most economical alternative. From the airport you can use the TH-1 bus to get to Taksim and the YH-1 bus to get to Yenikapi. From Taksim and Yenikapi you can transfer to the metro to reach other central districts.   

Metro

One of the fastest alternatives to get to the city center is by metro. Using the metro station that is located in the airport you can easily reach various parts of the city like Yenikapı, Aksaray, Fatih, Topkapı, and Esenler. If you’re planning on continuing your journey to a different city by bus, the metro goes to the Esenler Bus Station.  

Rental Cars

You can get to the city center by renting a car from rental agencies such as AVIS, Budget, or Europcar both at the airport or various locations in the city like Beşiktaş, Taksim, Kadıköy, Bostancı and Bakırköy. You can also return your rental vehicle to the offices of the aforementioned companies located in the city.
