There are many alternative transportation methods to reach Nashville International Airport from the city centre. If you decided to use public transportation, you can use buses to keep transportation costs to a minimum. You can choose from a number of local and international car rental agencies located in the city centre. To reach the airport with your hired vehicle in approximately 15 minutes, drive through Interstate 40 East (I-40 E) and follow the directions. You can return your hired vehicle to the ‘Rental Car Facility’, which is located next to the short-term parking area. You can walk to the terminal building from there within a few minutes.

Bus

You can reach the airport from the city centre with bus route 18. This journey will take approximately 30 minutes in normal traffic conditions. A one-way ticket costs 2.5 dollars.

Shuttle Service

There are many companies that provide shuttle services to the airport. The vehicles that are used to transport passengers vary in size and ‘comfort levels’. Several of these companies provide a door-to-door shuttle service. For the passengers who want to rent a car, airport shuttles depart regularly in front of the passenger terminal building to the car rental center (ConRAC) where there are offices of 10 different car rental companies. Once you rent a car, you can reach the city center in less than 10 minutes by driving through E Holt Boulevard.

Bus

After getting on bus number 61 departing from the bus stops in front of the terminal building, you should transfer to bus 80 on Holt. You can reach the city center in half an hour in total.

Many hotels and motels in the city offer airport shuttle services. If your hotel provides a shuttle service and if you would like to take advantage of this service, you are recommended to make a reservation at least 72 hours in advance.

Airport shuttle services depart from 3 different points of the airport. You can take the shuttle services departing every 5 to 20 minutes from the 5th floor of the airport car park, from the car rental center or in front of the passenger terminal depending on the crowdedness. All shuttles are wheelchair accessible vehicles.
