In Gdansk city, it is possible to get to Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport from the central stations and elsewhere in 30-35 minutes by train, bus or tram. If you prefer a faster and more comfortable means of transportation, there are taxi and car rental companies from which you can get a service during day or night.

Train

It is very easy and economical to reach the airport by buses and trams as well as express and regional trains. One of the last three stops of the SKM trains in yellow or blue color is Gdansk Glowny central railway station. You can go to the airport in 30-40 minutes by a train leaving this station in the heart of the city. You can also arrive by using the Gdansk-Wrzessez and Gdansk city center - Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport trains, which depart every 15 minutes.

Bus

It is very affordable to use the Gdansk buses in your trip from the city center to the Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. There are frequent bus stops in the city, and you can get your ticket from vending machines which have an English language option. The tickets you will buy in Gdansk, where there are different tariffs, will be valid in buses, trams and trains. Airport Information

Gdansk Airport, also known as Lech Walesa, is located 16 kilometers west of Gdansk city center. There are VIP and rest rooms where you can spend time while waiting for your flight at the airport which has three terminals in total. In addition, there are facilities such as currency exchange, ATMs and banking facilities. In the cafés and restaurants you can taste local Polish dishes. In addition, free internet access is available at the airport, where travel agencies and car rental companies serve 24/7.

There is no airport in Cadiz, which is a port city. While the closest airport is Jerez Airport, Sevilla International airport is preferred as it has more inbound flights.

If your plane is landing at Jerez Airport, the airport is around 45 km away from Cadiz. It’s possible to get to the city by taxi but this would cost you 50 euros. It's possible to reach Cadiz in 30 minutes under normal traffic conditions by renting a car and following the A4 highway. You can easily find car rental agencies in the baggage claim area. The cost of the car may depend on the type, size, and extra features of the car, but it’s possible to rent a car per day for 11 euro. You can also reach Cadiz by taking the train from the station to the west of Jerez Airport. The journey takes 46 minutes.

There are also shuttle buses going from the airport directly to Cadiz. If the prices of these shuttle buses seem to high for you, then you can take this or the taxi to the city centre, and then continue by public bus services once you are there. The total travelling time can go up to 1 hour.  

If you decide to reach Cadiz through Sevilla International Airport, then the most comfortable and practical alternative is to rent a car. You can find car rental agency desks in the ground floor of the main terminal. If you take the AP4 or A4 road you should reach Cadiz in about an hour and a half. There is a train station quite close to Sevilla International Airport. By using the free services from the airport, you can reach this station and from here take a train going to Cadiz. There are frequent departure times from this station and the journey takes approximately 2 and a half hours. Buses going to Cadiz don’t leave from the airport but you can take a bus or taxi to the city centre and take a bus going to Cadiz from there. The journey by bus to Cadiz from Sevilla city centre takes around 2 hours. You can get to central Sevilla for 30 euro by taxi or 4 euro by bus.

When planning your journey you shouldn’t forget that taxi fares are higher during the weekends in Spain, and that they charge extra for each of your luggage items. You will also need an internationally recognised drivers licence to rent a car.
