Dalaman Airport was firstly built in 1976 and it was opened to international transportation in 1981. The airport is one of the busiest airports during summer in Turkey. This is because the airport is used by the inhabitants of Marmaris, Fethiye, Göcek, Gökova, Akyaka and Muğla center and by those who come to these places for holiday.

Malatya Erhaç Airport, which is 34 kilometers away from the city center, is located in Akçadağ district of Malatya. There are also the municipal buses from the city center to Akçadağ; however, these buses are not preferred because they do not pass through a close point to the airport.
