Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

You can have a comfortable travel to the city center from the airport thanks to the taxis which operate at all hours of the day. For using taxis, you don’t need to make any reservation. Taxis all of which are licensed may also be a safer option than other vehicles, as they are used by trained drivers. Thanks to the red logos on the vehicles, you will notice that they are licensed and the thy will take you to Luxembourg in about 20 minutes.

Bus

Buses are the commonly used transportation vehicles in the country. They can be preferred because of being an affordable transportation alternative between the airport and city center. You can get to the city center by choosing one of the three different bus routes departing from the airport.

Departure times of the buses may vary depending on weekdays and weekends.

Bus route 16 belonging to the bus company named Eurobus offers service every ten minutes between 05:30 am and 11:00 pm on weekdays. At weekends, you can find a service between 05:25 am and 11:05 pm every twenty minutes.

Bus route 29 offers service between 05:17 am and 11:57 pm every 15 minutes on weekdays and 30 minutes at weekends.

Bus route 117 enables transportation between Luxembourg and Trier. This route offering service between 01:12 pm and 07:12 pm takes passengers to the city center in a short time because it has less stops than the other routes.

Transfer

Because Luxembourg is located right in the middle of Germany, France and Belgium, those who want to travel to the border regions of these countries have easier transportation opportunity by flying to Luxembourg. You can go to France, Belgium and Germany with Flibco transfer vehicles, which operate at Luxembourg Airport. These shuttle buses operating every two hours travel to Thionville, Maizeres and Metz in France, Arlon, Bastogne and Marche in Belgium, and Trier in Germany.
