About Tom Price
Tom Price, which is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, is a mining city. The city settled in the inner parts of the country is located at the edge of the Hamersley Range. In the city which is located about 750 meters above sea level, high amount of iron mine is extracted. According to the data of 2006, the population of the city is about 2,700 people and it is full of sporting activities due to the large number of young people although the number of facilities is low.
There is an olympic swimming pool, fully equipped gym, tennis, netball, volleyball and basketball fields in the city where motorcycle races, speed races, BMX and many other sports events are held. Tourist attractions that can be visited are Karijini National Park, Millstream, Wittenoom and Namaless mountain. The tourist season in the city is between May and October due to the irregular tornadoes and Australian summer heat.
