Sana'a, which is among the authentic cities, is known as the administrative capital of Yemen. The city, which has been included in UNESCO World Heritage List, has a versatile architectural and cultural texture. Seasonal monsoon rains are frequently seen in the city where desert climate dominates because of the city's geographical location. The temperature range between daytime and nighttime is quite different throughout the year. Sana'a, which receives rainfall (precipitation) at certain times, sometimes does not receive any rainfall. There are many places to visit in Sana'a. Among the most important tourist attractions of the city are the Old City Center, Al-Milh Bazaar, National Museum, Grand Mosque, Abrah Bath, Military Museum, National Handicraft Center, Andad Bazaar, Atelir, Al-Bab Gallery, Sheba Art Gallery and Qubbat al Bakiriyah Mosque.
The city's cuisine shaped by the influence of animal husbandry mostly consists of lamb. Apart from the regional dishes, other culinary cultures are rare. Saltah is one of the most famous dishes of the city and it attracts a lot of tourists. Sana'a Festival, which is celebrated during the summer months on a regular basis every year, hosts very amusing activities flocked by a crowded group of people. Shopping malls located in the city center sell products of many brands. Although there are not many entertainment venues except the bars owned by the hotels in the city, it is possible to come across various activities in the places like coffeehouses. Sana'a International Airport, which is located in the city center, provides easy transportation for those who want to visit this city.
