About Longana
Longana which is located in the Republic of Vanuatu in the South Pacific Ocean is in the south of the Ambae Island in Penama region. Longana, which covers an area of approximately 50 square kilometers and where the headquarters of Penama province called Saratamata is located, is known to be included in the development plan by the provincial government. The population of the island where the city is located is about 10 thousand and Longana Airport offers service in the city.
On the island, Polynesian languages are spoken. There are missionary churches in the region where Christians live. In the city which is under the influence of the tropical climate, weather conditions are hot and rainy for nine months and cool for the remaining three months.
