Fergana, one of the oldest settlements in Uzbekistan, is a beautiful city built on the valley with the same name. In the city which has a very rich historical and cultural background, especially the historical artifacts and remains are attracting attention. The city, where about 200 thousand people live, is very close to the borders of neighboring countries Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. It is estimated that the city, located 420 kilometers from the capital city of Tashkent, is the last place Alexander the Great reached during his famous campaign.

In Fergana, where terrestrial climate is dominant, winters are long and hard. Summer months, after the short spring, are shorter and milder. Located in Hokand, one of the most important settlements in the region, the spectacular Khan Palace, the Yodgorlik Silk Factory, Jami Mosque and Kumtepe Bazaar are among the places worth seeing in and around the city.
