Getting to the City Center from Chernigov Airport
Since the airport in Chernigov has been closed since 2002, it is required to choose one of the two airports in Kiev in order to reach the city. If you have landed at Boryspil International Airport, you can rent a car from companies like Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, Budget and Avis and reach Chernigov easily. The distance you need to travel to reach the city is about 150 kilometres; it lasts around two hours to drive this length. You need to take E95 highway at the exit of the airport. There are also buses that you can take from Boryspil International Airport to Chernigov. You can reach the city with the buses of one of the following companies: Autolux, Günsel and Ukrbus. The bus stops are located between Terminal B and C. If you will land at Zhuliany International Airport, you can reach Chernigov by renting a car from Budget and Sixt companies serving you at the airport. You need to take E95 highway at the exit of the airport. The distance is about 160 kilometres, and you can reach in the city in less than 2.5 hours.

These two companies have a branch at the airport and thus you can deliver your rental car here. You must use the E95 highway to reach the airport. The distance is about 160 kilometers and it takes about 2.5 hours to get to the airport.
Airport Information
Chernigov Shestovytsia Airport, located 15 kilometers southwest of Chernigov city center, is not serving since 2002 and it is unknown when it will be serving again yet. In order to reach Chernigov, you might use Boryspil International Airport or Zhuliany International Airports located in Kiev.
There are four terminals at Boryspil International Airport complex, which is highly large. You can find the cafes and restaurants in terminal D. You can also tax free shop in the duty free shop. There is a private playground on the third floor for those passengers travelling with their kids. If you hold a Master Card, you can use the airport lounge by paying 480 UAH for the first two hours, and 240 UAH for the each following hour. There is also free Wi-Fi service at the airport.
Zhuliany International Airport, one of the two largest and busiest airports in Ukraine, on the other hand, hosts ATMs, change offices, two restaurants and two café/bars. In addition, you can make benefit of the two duty free stores for buying clothes, accessories, cosmetics, toys and souvenirs and alcoholic products.
