Transportation to Airport from Tangier City Center
Tangier Ibn Battuta Airport
Ibn Batouta Airport is located only 11 kilometres away to Tangier. You can easily get to this airport by one of the options of taxis, transfer cars or rental cars. Also, you can get information about the public transportation options, or taxis and rent-a-car firms at the Tourist Information Offices in the city centre.
Taxi
Taxis are the most common way of transport in Tangier. You can comfortably get to the airport from the city at a reasonable price. Tangier taxi drivers located in the city centre and other centric locations are at your service 24/7. The majority of the taxis apply two different tariffs as day-tariff and night-tariff. You can get to the city center from Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, which is located in the Gaziemir district 18 km away, by Havas shuttles, public buses, train, taxi or personal car. You can also rent a car at the airport.
Personal Car
If you are going to drive to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport using your personal car, you can get to central locations like Alsancak and Konak in about 30 minutes.

Using line 200 you can get to Mavisehir, using line 202 you can get to Alsancak and its surrounding areas, and using line 204 you can get to Bornova and its surrounding areas. Before getting on the bus purchase a Kentkart (smart card for fare payment), which is valid for the metro and train as well.
Train
The fastest and most practical way to get to the city center from Adnan Menderes Airport is by train. The platforms are just outside the terminal, a short walk away. You can buy a Kentkart on the platform and take the train to the city center.
Rental Cars
Renting a car to get around in Izmir is a good idea, especially if you plan to spend a few days in the city and/or travel to the surrounding areas.
