Transportation to Airport from Manama City Center

Bahrain Intl. Airport

The main means of transport used in the city are buses and taxis. The buses are very economical and practical. It is possible to reach the airport with one or two bus transfers from the city center or from a further distance. Because of the two most important terminals (Muharraq and Manama terminals) there are buses departing directly to Bahrain Airport every 20 minutes. Apart from that, taxis, car rental services and minibuses are among the other transportation options.

Bus

Buses at the top of the main transportation vehicles in the city are public transportation vehicles which are very convenient for the budget and transportation. With Bahrain buses that are air-conditioned, spacious and comfortable, you can go directly or indirectly to everywhere you wish. Bus ticket prices usually start at 0.20 Bahrain Dinar. Manama bus station is located on Government Avenue.

The prices of Bahrain buses vary between 0.15-0.40 dinars on average. But most of the buses usually get 0.20 dinars for a single fare. The city has 23 different routes for buses with a total of 15 different lines. Buses that go directly to the airport depart from the stop that is about 200 meters west of Regency Intercontinental. For further information, you can call the Bahrain bus company (+973 17 534534).

Minibus

The use of minibuses in Bahrain is at least as popular as the buses. It is much more economical to get to the airport with the minibuses you can encounter in almost every corner of the city. Because the average ticket prices for these minibuses that are not connected to any business vary between 0.15-0.20 dinars. Sometimes even bargaining with drivers can be done. Minibuses with less capacity than buses can be crowded during heavy traffic hours.

Taxi

The fact that oil is cheap in the country does not, unfortunately, provide a discount on taxi fares. On the contrary, the fares are extremely expensive compared to many other cities and countries. So it's your benefit that you do not use the taxi unless you have to. In particular, Bahrain's locals prefer to use their own and not to spend unnecessary money on the taxis. The main taxi companies you can call from any point in the city are Speedy Motors (+973 17682999), Bahrain Limo (+973 17266266) and Arabian Taxi (+973 17461746). Taxis in the city are opening taximeters at a cheaper rate compared to airport taxis: 1 dinar.

Car Rental

The roads throughout Bahrain are asphalt and well maintained. At the same time, oil is so cheap that it offers a great advantage in terms of car rental companies. Because tourists who visit the country prefer not to waste their time on underdeveloped public transport, and prefer to widen their choices, they rent a car. Because of this, there are many offices of international and local car rental companies both in the city and at the airport.

Airport Information

Bahrain International Airport, located 6 kilometers north-east of Bahrain's capital Manama, is only 15 minutes away from Manama city center. Transportation to Kuwait City Center from Airport

Kuwait Intl. Airport

Kuwait, a half-century old Kuwait's namesake capital city, stands out as a commercial city. Kuwait city, which was ruined during the war, has been literally rebuilt with the help of foreign workers hosted by the city. More than half of the city's population consists of the foreign workers.

The city manages to be the center of attraction of the Middle East with its modern structures, two ports that have recently been put into service and an international airport. Kuwait International Airport is the most remarkable airport in the Middle East with its elegant architecture. The airport, located in the Farwaniyah area of the city, is 15 kilometers away from the city center.

Transportation is mainly provided by the buses in the city, which continues to develop. The buses, which provide transportation even to the farthest parts of the city with new vehicles, are praiseworthy in terms of punctuality in the city where the rail system is not available. Taking a taxi could be the ideal option for those who want to get rid of the tiresome and sweltering atmosphere of the bus journey in the city which is exposed to extreme heat almost all year round.

The buses, Kuwait's most popular means of transportation, also provide transportation service for the passengers on their way to the city center. New buses equipped with the latest technology are at your service. Taxi and car rental options are also available 24 hours 7 days for those who want a faster and more comfortable journey.

Taxi

Taxis offer a more refreshing journey thanks to air-conditioning advantage at the scorching heat of Kuwait. You can easily find the taxis, which serve all day long, in front of the terminal building of the airport. However, you should keep in mind that this option is more costly.

Bus

Four bus lines 13, 21, 99 and 501 are at your service on your way to the city center. Bus number 21 runs between 4:30 am and 11:45 pm. You can take the bus 13 to reach Chipset, bus 99 to go to Subhan and bus 501 to go Raqai part of the city. It takes about half an hour to reach the city center by all these bus lines.

Rent a car

You can also prefer to get to the city center by renting an affordable car of different brands and models at Kuwait Airport, where there are many international car rental companies such as Hertz, Avis, National, and Dollar.
