Taxi
Qarshi is one of the smallest cities in Uzbekistan in terms square miles, and so taxis are commonly used to get around. Most locals and visitors prefer taking a taxi to Qarshi Airport, which is 15km away from the city center. Taxis can be found at the various taxi stops in the central areas of the city; alternatively, you can also call a taxi to where you are. Even though there are only a few car rental agencies in Qarshi Airport, you can find many alternatives in the city center. The only thing you need to rent a car from Qarshi is an internationally valid driver’s license. Qarshi Airport in Uzbekistan provides commercial flight services as opposed to the Qarshi-Khanabad Military Airbase. Aeroflot, Uzbekistan Airways, and VIM Airlines have flights to Qarshi Airport, which is 15km southwest of Qarshi city. You can fly directly to Tashkent Airport, which is the capital city of Uzbekistan, as well as Saint Petersburg, Moscow-Domodedovo, and Navoi. Bus/Minibus
Once you leave arrivals at Fergana Airport you’ll come face to face with the bus and minibus stops. Bus lines 3 and 4 depart from in front of the terminal and travel along M Kasimov to reach the market in the city center. Minibus line 22 also takes you directly to the city center from the airport.
Taxi
You can take on of the taxis from outside arrivals at Fergana Airport and be at the city center in just 6-7 minutes. Most of the taxis at the airport will offer a fixed price that’s usually between 150-180 Russian Rubles.
Car Rental
You can get to the city center quickly and comfortably by renting a car. It’s probably the best option for overall transport during your stay if you’re going to be in Fergana for more than a couple of days.
