Transportation to Airport from Honolulu City Center

One of the easiest ways to reach Honolulu International Airport from the city center is the airport shuttle services provided by the hotels. But you should not forget that not every hotel provide this service. It is also possible to reach the airport comfortably by renting a car or taking a taxi.

If you prefer to use a more economical means of transportation, you can take a bus from the city center. With the metro line planned to be completed in the coming years, a new alternative to public transport will be introduced.

Taxi

You can easily find a taxi in Honolulu. You can get to the airport by taxi in just 15 minutes.

Car Rental

You can see that there are many car rental companies in the city center. Your hotel can help you with the contact information of these companies. You must follow I-H-1 E or HI-92 E motorway to go to the airport with the car you rent. Under normal conditions, the airport is reached in 15 minutes.

Bus

Many bus lines in the Honolulu city center and in the countryside pass through the airport. Buses number 19, 20 and 31 are the most frequently used lines. The ticket price is $ 2.50.

Travellers that prefer to use public transport can use bus routes 19, 20, and 31 to reach different areas of the city. The bus station is located outside of the arrivals terminal.  A one-way ticket costs 2.5 dollars.
