Transportation to Airport from Ho Chi Minh City City Center
Tan Son Nhat Intl. Airport
In Ho Chi Minh City center, called also Saigon / District 1, you can see many public transport means. It takes about 40-45 minutes to get to Tan Son Nhat Airport with public buses, which are also very popular in urban transportation. If you want to have a faster and more comfortable journey, you can choose to take a taxi or rent a car. It is possible to reach the airport in maximum 10 minutes in this way.
Bus
Buses, the cheapest means of public transportation, have 152 different routes in Ho Chi Minh City. These public buses, which are light cream and green in color, are in the size of a minibus and provide a very convenient transportation service between 6 am and 6 pm. Taxis can be an alternative for this trip, but taking a taxi would be costly because of the distance between.

Metro
In order to continue your journey towards Bandırma after you arrive at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, you must first transfer to the metro, which has a direct connection with the airport terminal. You can also get detailed information about the average fare by talking to the taxis waiting for you at terminal exit. There are also taxis at the airport for which you can pay by credit card. If you want to make a payment by card, you can specify this preference before boarding the taxi. Once you arrive at the Yenikapı port by taxi, you can take to the ferries here.
Fast Ferry
Once you reach the Yenikapı from the airport with the metro, you can transfer to Bandırma ferries here. Bandırma ferryboats, carrying their passengers to Bandırma, depart from Yenikapı every day at 07:00 and 18:30. You can get on the ferry at 7 am with your car.
Ferry times can change at certain times of the year. For that reason, before you make your travel plans, it is useful to review the current travel schedule on the internet and plan accordingly. The journey to Bandırma takes about 130 minutes.
Private Car
If you are traveling with your own vehicle, you can reach Bandirma by following different routes from Istanbul Atatürk Airport. The distance from Istanbul to Bandirma is approximately 120 kilometers and you will have to travel for about 3 hours. If you get on the ferry with your car, the journey duration would be reduced to 2 hours and 10 minutes. Considering the intense traffic of Istanbul, getting on the ferry from Yenikapı will be a much faster and more comfortable choice.
