Brisbane Airport

However, if you wish to continue your journey with a more comfortable option, you may consider renting a car, take advantage of airport shuttles, or easily find a taxi in the city.

Train

The train is the fastest option in Brisbane between the airport and the city center. Moreover, the fees for trains that you can get directly from the airport are much lower than other options. You can take a train from Central Station, South Brisbane, Fortitude Valley, Roma Street, South Bank and Bowen Hills, and reach the airport connecting Brisbane to the continent and the world. The trains are quite fast but not very suitable for passengers with children and very heavy luggage. If you are travelling as a group, it's a good idea to take a look at other alternatives such as taxi, airport shuttle or car rental to get to the airport from the center of Brisbane. Keep in mind that if you prefer trains, they work between 05:04 to 22:04 on weekdays and 06:04 to 22:04 on weekends.

Taxi

In Brisbane, you can also evaluate the taxi option, which is shown as one of the fastest alternatives to get to the airport from the city center. You will see two different taxi companies in the city. The first is Yellow Cab, the second is Black & White Cabs. It is possible to make a reservation at the beginning of your journey by calling 133222 and 131924. Also remember that the taximeters in Brisbane are opening at $ 3.50.

Bus

In Brisbane, buses are one of the most preferred transportation means, especially by locals. In the city you have the chance to take buses from almost all the central points of the city, especially the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Brisbane City. If you are considering the bus option to come to the airport from where you are, you can find the nearest stop by getting more detailed information from the reception of the hotel you are staying in.

Car Rental

It is also a good idea to rent a car to explore the beautiful coastline and countless beautiful sights worth seeing in the city. You can start exploring Brisbane by renting your car easily from companies such as AVIS, Hertz or Europcar. The steering is on the right, as is the case throughout Australia. Getting used to this situation can be challenging initially for those who consider renting a car for a while.

Airport Shuttle

Airport services may be the right choice if you are looking for a comfortable option to reach the airport from the city, especially for a family or a crowded group. In the city there is a shuttle service which especially carries the passengers of large scale hotels to the airport. It is important to remember that one of the most important conditions to pay attention to using these services is to book in advance.

Before coming to the city, you can make your reservation to the hotel via internet or by phone if they offer the service, and have the shuttle waiting for you at the door at the landing time of your plane. If your hotel is not offering this service, you can search the internet and choose your transportation by taking offers from different companies.
