Transportation to Airport from Bangkok City Center

The Suvarnabhumi International Airport opened for international travel in 2006. The city’s first airport, Don Mueang International Airport, is a regional commuter flight hub and low-cost airline hub.

Suvarnabhumi International Airport handles the largest amount of international passengers entering the city, handling over 53 million passengers in 2012. Bangkok is a city with a population of 8 million. Like other South Asian countries, transportation within the city can be chaotic. However, transportation to and from the airport is extremely advanced and comfortable.

Rail

You can take buses 201 and 503 from the Royal Palace, National Museum, and Phara Nakhon, the historic city center, to Phaya Thai Station. From this station you can get to the airport in 17 minutes.

You can also get on the express line at Makkasan Station. Other lines take about 30 minutes to get to the airport.

Airport Services

There are vehicles that depart from Victory Monument, which is one of the busiest transportation hubs in the city, to the airport every 20 minutes. You can get to the airport using luxury minibuses or buses where you need to connect or transfer in between. Minibuses 550 and 551 will take you directly to the airport. The city of Bangkok experiences extremely hot temperatures and these vehicles were designed taking that fact into consideration. These vehicles are all air-conditioned, providing comfortable transportation for tourists.    

Personal Car

From the historic city center (Phara Nakhon) take the Nakhon Sawan or Lan Luang bridges and connect to the Sirat Expressway, which has a toll. From here you need to take Motorway 7, which connects directly to the airport. After reaching the airport you can park your vehicle in one of the three parking lots, which have a total car park capacity of 5 thousand vehicles.

Transportation to Vitoria City Center from Airport

Vitoria Airport

After arriving at Vitoria Airport, which is located about 10.5 km away from Vitoria-Gasteiz city center, you can take one of the airport taxis waiting just outside the arrival terminal. You can also take advantage of other private transportation vehicles and car rental services.

Bus

Public buses, which is one of the most preferred public transportation vehicles that provide direct transportation from Vitoria Airport to Vitoria-Gastiez city center, offer service every day of the week. You can easily reach the city center from the airport by paying only 3 euros. Airport buses that carry you to Cadena y Eleta street located in front of the María Inmaculada Cathedral also pass through Cadena and Eleta streets and leave the airport half an hour after the landing time of every plane. It is possible to reach Vitoria-Gastiez city center in about 15-20 minutes by using these buses.

Taxi

Radio Taxi Gastiez (+945 273 500) offers direct transportation service from Vitoria Airport to Vitoria-Gastiez city center. It is possible to reach the city center from Vitoria Airport in about 10-15 minutes. You can also consider taking advantage of the more affordable Towncar service as an alternative to the airport taxis.

There are many local and foreign car rental companies offering service at Vitoria Airport that is located 10.5 km away from Vitoria-Gastiez city center. If you do not want to lose time, you can make an online search before your flight and make a reservation for a convenient car.
