Things to Pay Attention to / Important Information

Madrid is a safe city, but like any major urban center, it's wise to watch your belongings in crowded areas.

The city is very walkable, but wearing comfortable shoes is advisable as you explore.

Spanish dining hours may be later than what you’re accustomed to, with lunch around 2 pm and dinner often after 9 pm. 

Transportation

Madrid boasts an extensive public transportation network, including a highly efficient metro system, regional Cercanías trains, and a comprehensive bus service. The metro is ideal for quick travel across the city and to the airport, while Cercanías trains are perfect for day trips to nearby towns like Toledo and Segovia.
