How to Get There

Although Al-Kharj has an airport around 25 kilometers from the city center, Prince Sultan Air Base does not facilitate commercial flights due to being a military facility and is not open to the public. To reach Al-Kharj the easiest way is to book a flight to Riyadh International Airport, which is located approximately 110 kilometers from Al-Kharj city center. 
For transportation to Al Kharj, you have several options. Taxis, available at the airport, are the quickest but can be more expensive, ranging from 500 SAR to 650 SAR (approximately 133-173 USD). SAPTCO buses operate every 2 hours, taking around 2 hours and costing 25 SAR to 40 SAR (approximately 6-10 USD). Ride-sharing apps like Careem and Uber offer a more affordable alternative, with a similar journey time as taxis. If you prefer flexibility, car rental is an option, costing around 200 SAR to 300 SAR per day (approximately 50-80 USD).
